I just watched this movie a couple of days ago: Impressive. One of the best movies I-ve watched in the last few years.

check out Fassbender and his wife (wasn-t his wife when movie shot) in -Light Between Oceans-... excellent film and on location on a remote island was breathtaking..... its a great movie and what assuaged me into being a Fassbender and Vikander fan!!!

This is the first movie where i wanted to get up and walk out of the theatre smh. This was boring and only one person gets shot in the end . Thank god the movie tickets i got were free because i wouldve asked for my money back .

This is an excellent fucking movie. It-s not an action film, so don-t go in expecting fight scenes and shootouts, it-s mostly just sharp dialogue and you trying to piece together what is happening - the movie does not spoon-feed you at all (which I love). My favourite film of 2025 thus far.

Excellent Psychological Spy thrilller. Blanchett and Fasbender are a great follow up to Pitt and Jolie as Mr and Mrs. Smith. What may be missing in the script is more than made up for in the outstanding performances. I want to see these characters again. I highly recommend it!

What a satisfying movie experience!!

Does anyone else find this underwhelming? Its like every cliche known to man, the dialogue was dry, very dry, it just felt so, dry. Dont get me wrong i love Fassbender, but as far as trailers go this was dissapointing, [the killer] was chilling and [the agency] was just good, this was just, meh.

this is a good trailer, shows you the characters, the story, the plot, and gives you just enough to pull you in, shirking the modern hollywood trend of putting the whole story and the reveals in the trailer ruining the film - because they dont- trust that the audience will come see it based on the strength of the story or storytelling - good job to these guys a great cast and crew

I love how Soderbergh manages to make films on an industrial scale, every year he releases 1 or 2 films, it-s incredible.

Honestly if it weren’t for Cate and Michael, this would seem like a pretty tame movie 5/10 at best. And it’s because of the acting from the other actors. They lack that finesse that the main two have. Maybe it’s their direction, maybe it’s the writing, I’m not sure, but it’s lacking in something.

Anytime I see Michael Fassbender I know it-s gonna be so good so I just click great actor 👍

This is my prediction. He doesn-t think it-s her at first, but does eventually. And then is the reason she dies because he doesn-t protect her or find evidence that she-s innocent. Then he finds out he made a mistake.

I hate, hate, HATE the cinematography. Soderbergh is one of those guys who started off promising and then just began doing what was easy, what was quirky and different, and what appealed to him exclusively over taking on the bigger challenge of making something mainstream AND good. He hasn-t made a genuinely enjoyable piece of filmmaking in a decade. Fassbender and Blanchet are great, but I have zero interest in this.

Fassbender in glasses looks like a younger Gary Oldman playing George Smiley…..would love to see him in a real spy story.

Fassbender age is starting to really show. I don’t know if it’s deliberate or not but some shot are uncharacteristicly unflattering. And when I look at some 2024 shot it only confirms that feeling. Kind of sad - I would have liked seeing him as James Bond and it really feels now he’s starting to get too old. Between his lanky figure ( he’s the exact height of James Bond 6 feet) , his ice cool character and his native German I think he would have been fantastic. Nobody quite matched Ian Fleming description- he wanted David Niven.

This film is a slow moving piece of crap. Loaded with endless dialogue and riddle questions, in lieu of any true action. There are just "too many words." The car exploding in the preview is the most excitement you-ll find in this self-indulgent creation of a narcissist. They market the car exploding a lot because if they show the actual film, nobody will want to go.

If there was a prize for the most boring, self-absorbed and incomprehensible move of the year, this would win hands down. Annoyed I will never get the two hours I spent watching this dross back.

Sounds like an old plot that-s been revisited many times. Some are just due to circumstances and goes away when things get better. Some are due to genetics and have depression whether anything is wrong or not. Counseling can help, but it won-t take away the mental illness. In some cases only medication will help. Please, don-t tell people that God will heal them of their depression because He doesn-t always heal all illnesses. Yes, God can, but, he doesn-t always. Please be open to study in depth about the medical science behind many mental illnesses. Talk to Christian Psychiatrist, and non Christian psychiatrist. People will be more open to you helping them if you know the facts about mental illness. You are handling things very kindly, but it would be so helpful if you really knew more about mental illness. Thank you for trying to bring people to Jesus, but please learn about what some of the real causes of mental illness is.

Kathryn could have been suspected traveling to: Spain or France but the film would have lost the financial appeal for a Zurich Bank account which contained £7 Million. I wouldn’t overlook Euskadi Ta Akatsuna and Kathryn’s desire to mobilize them against Spain especially for being in tensions with the UK over Gibraltar, the next Singapore
