Pre Covid movies of Akshay Kumar have great re-watch value .. Recently re-watched Namastey London, Jolly LLB-2 , Special 26 ,Baby and Mujhse Shadi karogi ..OMG even a box office bomb like action Replayy and tees maar Khan were fun watch . These days when everything is judged with a political ideology mind set and AK getting trolled for not putting efforts in films . In fact if we see his filmography he works in most different genres and subjects . Romantic , action , thriller , comedy .. Have high hopes with Kesari Chapter 2 .

Tbh, tragedy of modern day indians is that they are forgetting about their fighters and founding fathers and neither are we taught about them explicitly, in schools they portray as if Gandhiji and Congress single handedly brought down the Britishers (yes, ik their role in the freedom struggle is the most). Most Indians cannot even name all of their prime ministers. People like C. Sankaran Nair, VP Menon, C Rajagopalachari are all being forgotten by both political parties and the people. >Akshay Kumar is portraying him in Kesari Chapter 2. Probably movies are the only way to bring these characters from our freedom struggle to life. Tho one shouldn-t rely on entertainment industry for knowledge.

I will be honest and most likely will be downvoted. At the outset, let me clarify that Patriotism is a sentiment, an emotion and I do have it, So let us ignore this for the discussion sake. But then, honestly, I have grown too old for these kind of movies. I dont see the feeling of patriotism in such movies anymore as I know deep within, they are just making such movies to encash on our sentiments. More so because they are out of ideas and lack creativity. The last that I really loved and admired was Sardar Udham Singh (Vicky Kaushal one). I am quite optimistic. So From the two given, if I will ever watch I would opt for watching Ground Zero though. However, it looks promising. For the other one, I will wait for it to be on OTT just because of Madhavan Sir. For AK to play a lawyer, I would rather place my money on LLB - 3.

I think the simple reason is cause not every person can be remembered. If we started teaching the names of every single freedom fighter in School, it would make the curriculum hectic and boring. It-s unfair but the truth. The freedom struggle had People from multiple backgrounds who had their own stories. Their aim was the freedom of the country. I think just knowing that their efforts weren-t in vain would be enough for them. Appreciating them once in a while is good but it-s not possible to remember and regularly commemorate everyone.

He lost in luck and perfect timing to launch himself to masses,with commercial movies,can you imagine he has almost spent more than 20+ yrs in bollywood,launched just a year after hrithik(who was known to be the upcoming superstar from launch itself) and I am not comparing a nepo baby to outsider debate,but the long term that he has worked in the industry where he has given tremendous time and effort gave good movies,and even got noticed yet new age actors like vicky,ayushman are put above his name.why? He grew beard and hair for battle of saragarhi, however it wasn’t a complete waste as he shot Netflix’s CAT where he played a sikh and it got many good reviews. He has good rapport with Salman, he doesn’t chase lead roles anymore and does play both villain and positive roles.

No serious actor should take awards seriously. Even Kartik Aryan won a best actor award. Coming to Jaat, that role is going to give him more reach in masses than many of his past films. And he was a strong villain in the film, he wasn-t wasted.

Watching Jaat got me thinking rather how sad it is for an actor of calibre like Randeep Hooda do come down to playing caricaturish villain role when he has potential. But also goes on to show why he has to accept such roles. 1. For the titular role in Sarbjit movie, he went on to to fast and lost excess weight for transforming and alongside delivering one of his career-s best performances didn-t do any good to him sadly. Not only was the movie was heavily deemed as Aishwarya Rai movie but the awards snubbed him badly and his portrayal as Sarbjit went unnoticed. 2. Very much prior to Akshay Kumar-s Kesari, Randeep Hooda was signed in to do the movie on Battle of Saragarhi directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Randeep began preparing for almost a year to get the look right and also began shooting for it. Few days pst shooting, Kesari releases and the success of Kesari eventually leads to the Randeep Hooda-s rendition on Battle of Saragarhi being shelved. 3. Keeping all things aside and just considering on the merit of performance, Randeep lost tremendous amount of weight accounting to 30kgs weight loss, researached extensively and played the role of Savarkar again delivering a strong performance but again gets snubbed by the awards. It disheartening to see how his efforts get snubbed and go unnoticed. What are your opinions on this?
